That’s why you’ll need to be a real people person. Someone who can develop strong working relationships quickly and do it with warmth and diplomacy, even when handling a tricky conversation.

The role

Providing personalised procurement solutions is what we do best. And, as Procurement Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring we continue to excel at unlocking bespoke savings for our customers.

Your primary responsibility will be to use your first-rate negotiation and influencing skills to achieve ‘best in market’ commercial deals with your supplier portfolio. You’ll also need to create customer-focused action plans for your categories, analysing market dynamics and the competition to develop ‘go to market’ tender strategies. In addition, you’ll source, develop, and promote supply solutions to increase our share of the category mix, ensuring our field and inbound sales teams are aware of the customer benefits that your newly onboarded suppliers can provide.

You’ll need a sound working knowledge of using historical and forecasted data to identify where you can achieve efficiencies and have the market knowledge to recognise a great deal when you see one. Confident in negotiating, checking and approving new contracts, you’ll also possess the ability to manage the entire life cycle of a competitive tender process.
